Congratulatory Messages for Obasanjo at 79

obj real 1Former President Aremu Okikiola  Olusegun Obasanjo turned 79 on   March 5, goodwill messages have been pouring in for him, President Muhammadu Buhari in his own congratulatory message sent earlier appreciated Obasanjo for his wise counsel on economic, political and social issues, according to him, Obasanjo’s willingness to embark on election monitoring has brought about peaceful transitions in a lot of African countries. He believes that Obasanjo’s place in global history is assured for handing over power to democratically elected governments on two occasions, in 1979 as a Military head of state and 1999 as a civilian head of state.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun describes Obasanjo obj 2as one of the living icons making Nigeria and indeed the whole of Africa proud. He said Ogun State is blessed to have produced such a legendary leader. Delta state Governor, Senator (Dr.) Okowa in his own message describes Chief Obasanjo as an inspiration very much needed at this stage of Nigeria’s Socio political and economic development and it is not for nothing that God has kept him as one of Nigeria’s guides,” Okowa said.

Okowa, who observed that chief Obasanjo does not beg issues said Nigeria needs such forthright leader, at all levels, if the country will see itself out of the woods of its myriad of challenges.

Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi in his address at the summit “Human Security, Violent Extension and Radicalization Seeking Sustainable Solutions” held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta to commemorate Chief Obasanjo’s birthday described him as a true Nigerian who has sustained close relationships with people from across the country.
