Starting next month Nigerians will have better way of buying fuel.
Due to the current fuel shortage crisis in Nigeria, people are forced to wait in lines for hours trying to purchase fuel which they need for everyday use in homes and business, not just for vehicles.
Subomi Owo-Odusi, a 23-year-old that works at a fuel distribution company, witnessed the long lines and frustration of his few countrymen in Lagos and decided to do something about it. He created a new app called FueledUp.
This is how it works.
- First you download the app from iTunes, Google Play, or Microsoft Store.
- Once downloaded you will be able to tap the “Get FueledUp” button, which will show you the current price of fuel.
- You enter how much you want, your vehicle information, and delivery time.
It’s just that easy.
Once your fuel has been delivered a receipt and message will be sent to you via the FueledUp App.
Although FueledUp is set to launch in May, Owo-Odusi has big ambitions for his company; he already has plans to expand beyond Lagos.
