Renowned Nigerian International novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has been honored at the John Hopkins University, United States of America.
Chimamanda, on Wednesday May 18th 2016 was awarded an honorary degree from the Johns Hopkins University at the university wide commencement ceremony at Royal Farms Arena.
While giving her acceptance speech, Miss. Chimamanda Adichie, urged the students to eat well and open their minds to learn.
“Eat real food as often as you can. And embrace ignorance. Say those words ‘I don’t know’. Because by embracing ignorance you open up the possibility of knowledge” She added.
According to the authority of the John Hopkins University, the 2016 honorary degrees were given to scholars in diverse field, which includes : the groundbreaking filmmaker and philanthropic leader Judith Rodin, Nobel prize winning neuroscientist Dr. Richard Axel, Philanthropist, Maryland’s first woman to become an administrative Circuit Court judge; Honorable Ellen Heller, Renowned researcher; Susan Baker, Eminent attorney and philanthropist; Shale Stiller, Esteemed researcher; Laurie Zabin are among with distinguished achievers, who received the degree.
