Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet , the incumbent Foreign Minister  of Gabon  has been promoted to the post of Prime Minister  by  President Bongo  after he was sworn in as President.

The President asked the new Prime Minister to form an open government. Bongo’s victory by less than 6,000 votes has drawn unwelcome scrutiny of the president, whose family has ruled Gabon for 49 years.  Very few African leaders attended his inauguration
