Africa’s richest man, AL haji Aliko’s Dangote has expressed his readiness to buy Arsenal football club, an English Premier Club; becoming the first African to buy a premiership league club.
Aliko Dangote made this known during an interview with the Bloomberg news portal. He added that he will make his decision known once his new refinery project in Lagos, Nigeria is completed. He said that he is of the belief that the management of the club will not mind walking away if the offer is good.
Dangote also stated that the club needs a new manager although Arsene Wenger has done a good job, there is need for a change and that will be his priority if he buys the club.
He also talked about his plans to invest $50 billion in America, Europe, Mexico, and Asia with a view to exploring the opportunities in these parts of the world.
