Western Michigan University’s Bronco African Students Association (BASA) has inaugurated new executive board for the 2017/2018 academic year in a colorful ceremony at the University’s Bernhard Center. Speaking at the event, the newly elected executives promised to build on the works of their predecessors and work to bridge the gap between African students and other nationalities to promote cross-cultural learning and unity. Executives also promised to remain committed to efforts to foster cordial relations with sister associations in other universities, especially with those in the state of Michigan and the Midwest region. Newly elected president Davis Arthur-Yeboah thanked members for their continued commitment and support and pleaded for greater participation in the organization’s activities, especially in its numerous voluntary programs.
