Wazobia Global Network, publishers of Wazobia Global Times and the new publication WGT Magazine, was founded in 2012 to promote unity among minority groups in the USA and other parts of the world. The editorial team of Wazobia Global Times newspaper and WGT Magazine visited the United Kingdom on November 16-23,2017.
Wazobia Global’s own Temi Omotayo was a guest speaker at the 2017 London Political Summit organized by Ring4Cange in collaboration with various organizations including the London Metropolitan University. The summit which was themed, “Nationalistic Tendencies: What Future for Global Citizenship?”, provided an opportunity for leaders, advocates, and youth to look at various challenges in the political arena with a view to providing solutions to them.
Some of the speakers at the Summit included H. E. Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, the Deputy General Secretary (Political) of Commonwealth, Dr. Stephen Baba, the Minister in Charge of Political Section (Represented the High Commissioner), H. E Amb. Justice George Oguntade, Hon. Julius Ayuktabe, the interim President, Council of British South Cameroon Nation; Ambazonia, Dr. Vital Kamerhe, Former Speaker of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s National House of Assembly, Prof. John Raftery, the Vice Chancellor of London Metropolitan University, and Barrister Chibuzo Ubochi, President of Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO). Hon. Godson Azu, the President of Ring4Change launched his second book during the Summit. Mr. Oladapo Awosokanre of Africans Unite against Child Abuse (AFRUCA) and Engr. Obafemi Somorin, President of Wazobia Global Network in the United Kingdom also graced the Summit.
The Wazobia Global crew had an opportunity to talk with the leadership of London Metropolitan University. The head of the Partnerships, Dr. Chris Lane, thanked Wazobia Global for its contributions to youth development and expressed his institution’s willingness to partner with Wazobia Global and other organizations.
