CCTV Launched in South Sudan for Crime Reduction

It is a new dawn in South Sudan, the country which recently got her independence from Sudan launched a close- circuit television{CCTV} and drone security system on Monday. According to the government, this would improve safety in capital city, Juba and its environs.

An Isreali company, Global Group is behind the project,  the surveillance system has 11 cameras  and two drones installed in Juba which will roll across the city and environs. This will eventually reduce crime rate in the country, it will also be easier to arrest criminals, President Salva Kiir  Mayardit made this known during the launch.

The Director of the Government’s Emergency Call Center & CCTV, Major General Edward Dimitri Lokak added that the initiative will help in detecting crimes.
