Nick Vujicic is an Australian born Motivational speaker and writer who came to the world with neither arms or legs. He said he struggled with depression and loneliness as he questioned why he was different from all the other kids but he could not get answer to his question.
At age eight, he said that he contemplated suicide and even tried to drown himself in his bathtub at age ten; his love for his parents prevented him from following through. He added that he prayed very hard that God would give him arms and legs, and initially told God that, if his prayer remained unanswered, he will not praise him, his turning point in life came when his mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability, then it dawned on him that he was not alone in his struggles, he began to embrace his lack of limbs.
Nick gradually figured out how to live a full life without limbs, adapting many of the daily skills limbed people accomplish without thinking. He has learned how to do so many things ranging from using a computer to participating in sports like swimming and golf.
He got married to his wife Kanae Miyahara Vujicic on February 12, 2012 and they are blessed with four children, two boys and twin girls who arrived shortly before Christmas. The twin babies who have been named Olivia Mei Vujicic and Ellie Laurel Vujicic. Their two older children named Kiyoshi and Dejan were born in February 2013, and September 2015 respectively.
Nick is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is the founder and president of an international nonprofit organization, Life Without Limbs, and owns the motivational speaking company, Attitude Is Altitude. His motivational speaking engagement has taken him to more than 57 countries, sharing his inspiring story with over 400 million people. He is the author of New York Times best- seller Life Without Limits and many other books. His books have been translated into over 30 different languages with millions of copies sold.
