How to Start Your Week off Right

Another Monday has rolled around. You may have partied a little too much over the weekend or maybe you had a relaxing time at home. But now it is time to get back to work.

It doesn’t matter if you punch a clock or you are an entrepreneur, Monday is crucial for your success. This is the day that will set the tone for the rest of your week. With that being the case I have five tips for you to make this Monday and every Monday after this one your favorite day of the week.

  1. sleepingGet some sleep. The most important thing you can do to start your week off right is to get enough sleep. There is nothing worse than dragging yourself into the office when you are running on little to no sleep. Plus when you are sleep deprived your mental capacity is impaired. All those great ideas can’t flow in a tired mind.
  2. What do you want to get done this week? Before you move full steam ahead into your week, take a moment to sit down and decide what is it that you want to accomplish. Do you want to start a new project? Do you want to catch up on those lingering files on your desk? Maybe you want to get out of the office at a decent time. Whatever it is that you are trying to get done visualize those things in your mind.
  3. Develop a plan. Now that you know what you want to accomplish, develop a plan. Write out what you need to do each day to meet your goal. Once you do that, keep your daily to-do list close by so that you know what is on your agenda for that day.
  4. Take a break. I know you weren’t expecting me to say take a break, but this is the time you need to step back. Evaluate what you wrote down and how you are going to arrive at your desired results. Look at them realistically. Can you comfortably achieve each of those task to reach your goals? If not then spread these task out. No one said that you had to do everything in one week.break
  5. Stay focused. You’ve had a good night sleep. Your week is all planned out. All you have to do now is stay focused. There are so many things that try to gain your attention, but if you keep in mind your goals for the week then you can weed out what needs to get done and what can be put on the back burner.

Your dreams, goals, and aspirations are so important. The ideas that you have inside of you are bursting to get out. There are people waiting to hear what you have to say so that they can be inspired to reach their potential.
