The shear excitement made it hard for me to sleep. The thought of walking the same streets where Jesus once walked was unimaginable. The ability to turn the clock back 2,000-plus years by simply taking a fourteen-hour plane ride. The exhaustion I once felt disappeared upon first sight of Tel-Aviv. Walking the old streets of Jerusalem, being able to stand in the Dead Sea, visit the church at Cana (where Jesus turned water into wine), take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, and stand at the steps where Jesus played has made the Bible come alive to me in such a way that can’t be described in words; it can only be experienced.
Here are a few of the many pictures I took during my time in Israel. However, the pictures do no justice for the beauty, splendor, and hospitality of the country and people.
If you would like to experience Israel for yourself, WGT Voyage Consulting is planning a trip from June 21-29, 2018.
