Check out the story of Anthony Joshua, the unified heavyweight champion.
I think it was William Shakespeare that said “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them” Anthony Joshua, the British born unified heavyweight champion is one of those who have greatness thrust upon them.
Born on October 15, 1989 in Watford, Britain to Yeta and Robert Joshua who are Nigerians. He grew up in Nigeria and attended Mayflower school in Ikenne, Nigeria before leaving for London after his parent’s divorce.
I believe his parent’s divorce had adverse effect on him, though he was a bright kid, he ended up being on the street, he later went into boxing in 2009. He got detained by the police after becoming a street fighter, more troubles came for Joshua after he got pulled over by the police for over speeding in London. He was later sentenced to 12 months community order after pleading guilty to possession of drugs charge.
He retraced his steps and relaunched his boxing career, the rest is now history as he is now the unified world heavyweight champion, he has not only made himself proud, he has also made his parents, Nigeria and Britain proud.
There is a story behind every glory, according to Bishop T.D jakes, what we see as a step back may be a set up for greater comeback so never give up in life because quitters do not win and winners do not quit.
What makes you think it is over? No it is not over till HE says it is.
