Team Nigeria Leads Other African Teams at Rio Paralympic Games

By; Wazobia Staff   Team Nigeria finishes the Rio Paralympic Games with a total of 12 medals . Kenya Lifts Africa at Paralympic Games;Clinches First Gold Medal

By ; Wazobia Staff     Kenya has won Africa’s first gold medal in the ongoing 2016 Paralympic Games. History was made at the ongoing Paralympic games when Kenya’s Samwel Kimani clinched victory in the men’s T11 5,000m (for blind athletes with guides) to give both Kenya and Africa a first gold medal at the tournament. Kimani, guided by Boit James in the race, clocked a time of 15:16.11 while Brazil’s Odair Santos won the silver medal clocking a time of 15:17.55.
