A public lecture ‘1967 Wayne County Community College District and the Detroit Rebellion Anniversaries- Presenting a Cultural Review and Comparative Analysis’ held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Frank Hayden Community Room, Wayne County Community College District, Downtown Detroit. The Lecture was one of the programs organized to celebrate Wayne County Community College District’s 50th Anniversary.

The public lecture was attended by students, faculty members of the institution, and members of the community. Dr. Claud Anderson, the President of PowerNomics Corporation of America Inc. and The Harvest Institute, Inc. shared on the concept of race and how the black race can become more economically and politically relevant in America.  Guest panelists at the public lecture include Rev. V. Lonnie Peek, Jr. Rev. Dan Aldridge, Hon. Adam Shakoor,  Esq. Loretta Holmes and James Jackson.  The moderator was the award winning former Editor of Michigan Chronicle  and columnist for the Detroit Press, Bankole Thompson.
